Ever been bummed that you didn’t go with your gut, even when it was telling you it wasn’t right? This quote says it all. Never discredit your gut instinct. One of the top travel advice I give people when they ask me is “go with your gut.” If you are ever in a situation and something inside you is telling you that it doesn’t feel right, it usually isn’t.
Make a conscious effort to remove yourself from that situation especially when you feel like you are in danger. Your instinct can come rearing its head even around people. Whether that certain person makes you feel uncomfortable or you feel something is ‘off’ about that person you may be right. That’s not saying that they have done anything bad, you never know it may just be a clash of personalities or you feel that you wouldn’t mesh well with that person.
Gut instinct doesn’t come around for only a sign of danger or discomfort. It can come by when you think you should help someone else, when you feel someone isn’t telling you something and even when you know something is right. Your instinct is just telling you what your head hasn’t caught up to yet. The english dictionary defines gut instinct as an instinctive feeling, as opposed to an opinion or idea based on facts. Don’t let anyone else’s opinion sway you out of what your gut instinct is telling you. Always do what you think is right for you in whatever situation you may find your self in.
